My goodness! It's hard to believe that by the end of this week, we'll be half-way through the course. The time is flying by.
I have returned from Turkey. I had the opportunity to visit a school there and work with some amazing teachers.
I must say that I am very lucky to have the opportunity to work with teachers from a broad spectrum of countries. I learn so much about how language is taught and how instructors work with both their advantages and disadvantages (we all have both!). It is just amazing. I do feel that we are all in this education business together, sharing and helping one another.
Teachers around the world have an incredibly strong focus on helping their students and making the lives of their students better. It seems to be a common thread I hear over and over again. If teachers ran the world, what a better place it would be!
I hope everyone is having a good week. I would like each one of you to take a minute and appreciate the excellent job you are doing in your classrooms. Your students are fortunate to have you in their lives.

Dear Donna,
ReplyDeleteI am glad you liked Turkey, but you have not said which places you visited. Turkey is a wonderful country somewhere between the east and the west, between past and present.
As for week 5 I think it has been very demanding, but very educational as well.
I agree that you have wonderful teachers on this course and everyone is so nice, polite and helpful. It is such an encouraging community to work with.
My best,
Dragana
